Nature Embraces You

The Minster Gallery presents a second solo exhibition for Japanese artist Masako Tobita from 2nd May to 2nd June 2014. The First Exhibition two years ago was predominantly focused on some of the devastating effects of the forces of Nature and the colour red. This Exhibition is inspired by the serenity of Nature and the calming colours of grey. Indeed, there is a wonderful serenity and almost transparency about this new collection. Masako captures the beauty and tranquillity of nature and the soothing effects of the sea particularly in Seto Inland Sea, so different from the power of the Pacific Ocean. As she says “Nature embraces you and Life triumphs”.
