She is an elected member of the Society of Women Artists and a member of their council and exhibits her work with them annually at the Mall Galleries.  Soraya is the UK demonstrator for the New York based Art company GOLDEN Artist’s Colours and Caran D’Ache of Switzerland.  She carries out a number of lectures and demonstrations for art groups and societies throughout the year and runs workshops at her own studio in Hampshire, Dedham Hall, west Norfolk art centre as well as a number of venues abroad.

Soraya works in all painting media but is particularly known for her mixed media work.  Use of vibrant colours, light and expressive textures are prominent features of her paintings.  Although she is a figurative painter, there is a certain ambiguous and evocative quality in her work, which leaves something for the viewer’s imagination.    She has been the recipient of a number of prestigious art awards in the last few years and her work is held in many private and public collections both at home and abroad.
